LICENSING
SRI has initiated a concerted effort to make available its proprietary technology to the business sector. The business and marketing staff is focusing on actions to foster commercial development of in-house technology via businesses which derive benefit from the technology. For example commercialization of Chromaplex is one of such actions.
Business and technical staff work together to understand specific needs, and to design appropriate business arrangements. Typical relationships fall into one or both categories:
- License contracts for specific uses of SRI technologies
- Technology transfer contracts to test and optimize a given technology for specific applications
