The image link below shows 3 pictures. The first one is obtained with 3 CCDs in optical registration. The second picture shows the single color values per pixel obtained with the same CCDs but shifting two of them a half a pixel with respect to the other. The third picture is decoded from the second one with Chromaplex to yield 4x spatial resolution . After downloading, demo images should be viewed in 24-bit color. (NOTE: For practical requirements of the Web, all images, originals and processed, had to be compressed at the highest quality of conventional jpeg; i.e., about 2:1).
