Chromaplex Marketing & Licensing
SRI has initiated a concerted effort to make available its proprietary technology to the business sector. The marketing staff is focusing on actions to foster commercial development of in-house technology via businesses which derive benefit from the technology. The commercialization of Chromaplex is one of such actions.
Licensing
Business and technical staff work together to understand specific needs, and to design appropriate business arrangements. Typical relationships fall into one or both categories:
- License contracts for specific uses of Chromaplex
- Technology transfer contracts to test and optimize Chromaplex for specific applications
SRI is pursuing licensing discussions with developers and integrators of digital color imaging technology. Applications for which Chromaplex technology is suited are widely varied; therefore, SRI attempts to maintain a high degree of flexibility when negotiating a licensing contract. Nevertheless, SRI has a few basic tenets in building a workable agreement; for example, SRI is a non-profit research institute.

Demos
Technical presentations and demonstrations of the advantages of Chromaplex can be set up by contacting Dr. Eugene Martinez-Uriegas. Generally, demonstrations are given at SRI's Menlo Park, CA headquarters. For directions, see the map. In certain instances, SRI may be able to arrange a demonstration at an external site.
