7.5 Cookie Cutter

The ``cookie-cutter'' is a simple, image correlation-based tool that locates other identical copies of an already modeled object. In practice, the user models one instance of the object and specifies the region of the image where the other instances can be found. The parameter defaults for the cookie-cutter are set so that many instances are found. False positives can be discarded by adjusting the parameters after the search is performed and/or by manual editing.
