What is the OKBC knowledge model?

The OKBC knowledge model is an implicit representation formalism which underlies all the operations provided by OKBC. It serves as an implicit interlingua for knowledge that is being communicated using OKBC, and systems that use OKBC translate knowledge into and out of that interlingua as needed

The OKBC knowledge model supports an object-oriented representation of knowledge. It assumes a universe of discourse consisting of all entities about which knowledge is to be expressed.
