Do all knowledge base servers implement the same knowledge model?

Th knowledge base servers do not have to implement the same knowledge model  internally.  The OKBC bindings for the KRS  must follow the knowledge model.  For example, a Unix filesystem can be bound to OKBC even though it is not a KRS.
