TerraVisionTM 5.1 Plugins

Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000

TerraVisionTM is available as a Netscape plugin and an ActiveX component under Windows. This lets TerraVision be embedded within a web page, or within a PowerPoint presentation, or a number of other applications. You can install TerraVision by downloading the installer executable below and running this program. Once installed, you can run TerraVision from its entry in the Start/Programs menu.

N.B. Win95 users: TerraVisionTM will work under Windows 95, but you may have to install a number of packages that are not supplied in the out-of-the-box configuration. These include OpenGL support and the WinSock2 library. You can download these from the Microsoft web site.

The TerraVisionTM Netscape Plugin

TerraVisionTM is available as a Netscape plugin for Windows 98/ME/NT/2000.

The TerraVision plugin provides the following features: integrate multiple terrain databases over the web, multiresolution streaming for interactive access to massive datasets, overlay VRML97 models on the terrain, LiveConnect interface to enable control of the plugin from within a web page, etc.

The TerraVisionTM ActiveX Component

TerraVision is also available as an ActiveX component. This means that it can be embedded in any Microsoft application that supports the ActiveX interface, e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,...), Visual Basic, C++. This functionality should be automatically available after you install the above archive.

To see an example with TerraVision in an PowerPoint presentation, download the PowerPoint 2000 presentation.
