Notice: Hosted by Thomas de Candia.
Date: Tuesday, December 4th 2012 at 11:00am
Location: EJ228 (SRI E building) (Directions)
This talk will walk through parts of my research work. I will start with Aseba, an event-based robot control architecture, that I developed in the context of miniature mobile robots and has found application in educational robotics with the Thymio II robot. Then I will present my work on autonomous construction, whose aim is to study system-level adaptability in a challenging physical-interaction scenario. Finally, I will present our modular ICP chain and recent results on non-parametric Bayesian learning of behaviours from demonstration.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early as you will need to sign in by
following instructions by the lobby phone at Building E (or call Wilma
Lenz at 650 859 4904, or Vicenta at Lopez at 650 859 5750). SRI is
located at 333 Ravenswood Avenue in Menlo Park. Visitors may park in the
parking lots off Fourth Street. Detailed directions to SRI, as well as maps,
are available from the Visiting AIC web page.
There are two entrances to SRI International located on Ravenswood Ave.
Please check the Building E entrance signage.
