Abstract

These notes provide general background information for the design of optical systems to be used with silicon photocell array cameras. Two lens designs are examined in detail: (1) the Aklin patent of 1944, U.S.P. 2,338,614 a four element air-spaced design of the Celor type, and (2) a nine-element design recently introduced by Burleigh Brooks Optics, Inc.
