The measurement of human motion is important in clinical applications. In particular, the progression and management of conditions like Parkinsons Disease can be greatly improved through regular assessment of motor symptoms. Accurate motion capture systems are often expensive and require fitting the subject with markers. In contrast, the system described here employs successive layers of constraints applied to videos of the subject to constrain processing and measure motion.
