Girish Acharya is currently an Engineering Director in SRIs Artificial Intelligence center. He is currently responsible for integration of CALO/PAL, an ambitious effort to create a next generation of personal cognitive assistant that learns and self-improves in the wild bringing together effort by 22 leading research institutions, universities and commercial companies.
Prior to SRI, Mr. Acharya was a senior consultant at H.P. where he helped to design and implement HP content management bridge between hundreds of authoring and publishing communities.
As Director of Engineering at Verticalnet, Mr. Acharya brought together a large team for building supply chain applications.
Mr. Acharya has masters degree in engineering from IIT, Kanpur, India, University of Toronto and a masters degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business.
